THE MAGICAL BALL

It was Joy’s first day in school in a new class. His Mom said, “I know you’ll make new friends Joy!” So Joy decided to be good to everybody. Soon he had lots of friends in the class. The teacher was very happy with his behavior. Someone else was happy too-
The Blue Fairy!
The Blue Fairy decided to reward Joy. That afternoon when he slept, The Blue Fairy came in his dreams and said, “Joy, you have been very friendly. So I’ll give you a ball! It can change its colors, it can bounce up as high as you want, and it multiply into many balls. And remember, all my gifts can be used only three times. Have Fun!”
When Joy woke up, he found the ball under his pillow, and he quickly ran to his best friend, Sid’s house. Joy asked the ball to change colors as he showed it to Sid. Sid looked amazed as the ball changed from red to pink, green, yellow , maroon, grey, etc.
“Wow!!! Is it a magical ball?” asked Sid.
“Yes!! Let’s go down and play with it in the playground.” Joy said.
So the two friends went to the playground. They saw the bad bully Robby in the playground. Armed with his magical ball, Joy decided to teach Robby a lesson.
As Robby saw them, he shouted, “Run away from my playground, weak boys, or I’ll break your ribs!”
“We will, but first you prove that you are stronger than us in a ball bouncing competition.” Joy replied.
Robby quickly agreed. When he threw the ball up in the sky, it went higher than a two storey building! “Now it is your chance”, dared Robby.
Joy quietly said,” Bounce up to the clouds” and threw the ball to the sky. The ball crossed the two storey building, it crossed the ten storey building, it scared the flying birds as it zoomed passed an aeroplane, and when it came back with a thud, it brought with it a silvery, shiny, fluffy white part of a cloud!!!
Scared, Robby ran away immediately.
Before long, a big red truck stopped near the playground. Out came around ten muscular men, their faces covered with a mask, carrying long, sharp knives. Their vicious looking leader entered the playground and cried, “Take all the children in the truck. We are taking them hostage.”
The kids were paralyzed with fear. They were being kidnapped for ransom.
One man caught hold of Joy and Sid and started pushing them into the truck.
“One minute uncle”, pleaded Joy, “let me throw this ball away”.
“Fast!” The fierce voice ordered from behind the mask.
As joy threw his magic ball away, he uttered “Multiply”. As soon as the ball bounced on the ground it became two balls. Both the balls jumped higher and became four. Then they multiplied into eight, sixteen, thirty two and so on. Soon, the whole playground was full of bouncing balls- that bounced on the rowdies’ heads and knives, and threw them off balance. They multiplied and bounced till the kids could run and get help. As the parents and police arrived, the evil men were sent to jail. Nobody could tell how it happened, because the balls had all disappeared. Except for two little boys who knew exactly what it was!
