THE MAGICAL GUN

Once upon a time, there was a boy named Joy. One day, Joy came back from school very happy. He had a dictation test, and he did outstandingly well!! All his spellings were correct. His teacher was very happy with him. Someone else was happy too—
The Blue Fairy.
The Blue Fairy came in his dreams that night, and said, “Joy, I am happy that you are so sincere about your studies. But all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. So, have this toy gun. It can shoot out anything, except dangerous items like bullets. Remember, you can use it for three times. Enjoy!”
Joy wondered what to use the gun for when he found it under his pillow. He ran to show it off to his best friend, Sid. Sid suggested that they shoot candies from the gun. When Joy pulled the trigger and said candies, the gun started shooting candies!!! Soon, the whole bed was under a heap of candies. The friends ate and ate and ate, until their stomachs began to ache. Soon, the two kids fell sick!! The doctor ordered them not to have any junk food for a whole month!!
Luckily, they were healthy again by the time of school picnic! The Teacher had decided to take the class out to a desert picnic. All the children were very excited about being in the desert for the whole day. Joy brought along his magical gun, just for fun.
But the teacher realized they were in trouble when they reached the desert!! They had forgotten to bring water along!! How can forty kids stay the whole day in desert without any water? She explained the problem to the students and told them to return back to the bus. The picnic was being cancelled. Everybody except Joy was disappointed. Joy knew he could solve this problem.
He quickly dug a small hole and hid the gun in it. Then he asked the magical gun to shoot cold drinking water. And soon, everybody saw a water fountain coming out from the sand. The kids now had plenty of water to drink, and they all had a memorable picnic!
When Joy reached back home late in night after the picnic, he found his sister Ginni was crying loudly. “Why is Ginni crying so much?” Joy asked his mom.
“She missed you a lot when you were away for the picnic dear, and now she is so cranky that she wouldn’t stop crying even though you are back. I don’t know how to make her happy!!” Mom replied. She was exhausted from handling a cranky baby. So Joy decided to cheer Ginni up.
“I’ll show you a magic, Ginni.” He told the crying girl. And He fired his Gun, saying “Confetti” . The Gun shot out lots and lots of confetti- shining bits of paper, tiny colorful balls, little pieces of ribbons and stars! Ginni was amazed at the spectacular show. She giggled and laughed and clapped. Soon, the whole family was enjoying the wonderful confetti. When the gun disappeared at last, the whole room was full of confetti, and it took Joy and his mother 3 hours to clean it together!!!
